Queensland Corrective Services returns to Stage 1 of hotspot response plan

QCS has advised that from Wednesday 12 August 2020 QCS will return to Stage 1 of their ‘Hotspot Response Plan’ across the State. We are informed that this will remove the requirement for 14 day isolation for prisoners at the point of reception and following return to QCS custody after court appearances.

Personal visits to prisoners will also recommence from today. Visitors who are showing signs of illness, or who have visited or travelled through declared hotspots in the past 14 days will not be admitted.

Everyone entering a correctional centre will undergo health screening and temperature checks.
