Expressions of interest are invited to join the inaugural Forensic Science Queensland (FSQ) Advisory Council, established under the Forensic Science Queensland Act 2024.
The FSQ Act creates a new statutory framework to ensure quality, reliable, independent and impartial forensic services for the administration of criminal justice.
The council’s function is to monitor and review FSQ policies and procedures and give advice and make recommendations on these matters to the FSQ Director and Attorney-General.
Membership of the advisory council is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the reform of Queensland forensic services.
Expressions of interest are sought from people with qualifications, or experience in law, forensic services, policing, supporting victims of crime or another relevant field.
Closing date for expressions of interest is Thursday, 20 June.
