Career moves: Hall & Wilcox

Hall & Wilcox has announced a record 46 appointments and promotions, including 10 partners.

Six of the promotions are in Brisbane, including Partners Daisy Duff and Mitchell Stein, Special Counsel Jennifer Douglass and Ann Watson, and Senior Associates Isobel Ward and Chris Wright.


Daisy Duff

Daisy is an expert within the Common Law Workers’ Compensation area. She has also acted in public liability, medical negligence and CTP cases, and has experience acting in both plaintiff and defence work.


Mitchell Stein

Mitchell is an experienced insurance and litigation lawyer who acts for insurers and private clients. His practice includes assisting medical and allied health practitioners with civil and disciplinary claims as well as a broader practice in the areas of public and product liability, professional indemnity and financial lines.

Jennifer Douglass

Jennifer has more than 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has worked in both private practice and in house. She regularly advises clients on issues of liability, quantum and proposed settlement strategies.


Ann Watson

Ann is a dispute resolution Special Counsel with a focus on restructuring and insolvency, corporate workouts and banking and debt recovery. She provides advice to companies and their directors on restructuring and insolvency matters and also advises administrators, liquidators, receivers, trustees in bankruptcy and Government and regulatory bodies.


Isobel Ward

Isobel has more than 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry and is actively involved in assisting insurer’s customers and stakeholders through the common law claims process.

Chris Wright

Chris advises clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including interpreting legislative and contractual issues and requirements.
