Senior Legal Officer
Exciting opportunity for two permanent Senior Legal Officers to make a significant impact and influence law reform in the Department of Justice. Strategic Policy and Legislation has wide reaching responsibilities that support the operation of Queensland’s justice system and leads the development and coordination of the implementation of proposals for primary and subordinate legislation within the Justice portfolio. As the Senior Legal Officer you will develop and implement legislative and policy projects in relation to criminal law and criminal justice matters. We are seeking a skilled policy and legislation professional, energised by fast-paced, complex environments and who has transferable skills to provide strategic advice and analysis on criminal law and criminal justice policy. You will enjoy a flexible working environment with excellent employment conditions which may include telecommuting for part of the working week.
