Senior Legal Officer
Exciting opportunity within the Human Rights Unit of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General to play a key role to support the development of a human rights culture across Queensland Government and foster and maintain stakeholder relationships to support the aims of the Human Rights Act 2019. You will provide authoritative advice on complex legal and policy issues, support human rights awareness and capability, and deliver policy, initiatives and reforms with a human rights focus. Key known future-projects for the Human Rights Unit include leading work across the sector to build and maintain a human rights culture; and managing the response to and implementation of the first independent review of the Human Rights Act 2019.
