Disability reform forum at Parliament

A forum, After the Disability Royal Commission and NDIS Review: Disability Reform in Queensland, will be held at Parliament House next month.

Practitioners are invited to join The Public Advocate, Queensland Human Rights Commissioner, Queensland Advocacy for Inclusion (QAI) and the Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN) to discuss the recommendations and implications, on Friday, 10 May 2024 from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

The forum will focus on lived experience and how this should guide policy and reform throughout the sector.

Key speakers will share their views on possible reform options including Queensland Human Rights Commissioner Scott McDougall and Queensland Public Advocate Dr John Chesterman, with a special address from Disability Discrimination Commissioner Rosemary Kayess.

The free event will be available both in person and online.
