Step up to stop domestic violence

A Women's Legal Service Queensland fundraiser on Friday will tackle more than 1000 steps of a Brisbane high rise.

Women’s Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ) is asking the community to conquer one of the state’s biggest stair climbs in the fight against domestic violence.

The challenge is to climb the 1040 steps of the ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street Building in Brisbane’s CBD next Friday and raise funds for WLSQ’s services.

This year, the event is also offering a new 100,040-step virtual challenge, which can be completed anywhere in Queensland up to the August 2 climb.

WLSQ provides free legal and welfare assistance to women and children impacted by domestic violence. It delivered more than 45,000 services across Queensland in the past financial year.
