WLSQ program reaches Roma

Women's Legal Service Queensland visited Roma last week as part of its Rural, Regional and Remote program.

Women’s Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ)’s outreach program has hit the road, heading to south-west of the state.

The WLSQ Rural Regional and Remote (RRR) team was in Roma last week, offering free advice sessions to local women.

“We are so keen to get out to rural and regional areas because we really are the safety net,” CEO Nadia Bromley told ABC Radio Southern Queensland.

“We are for the people that can’t afford to talk to anyone about their problems.

“Usually, people come along with not just one problem. Usually there are a whole range of issues in people’s lives so as many issues as we can help them with, we do.”

The RRR team will be in Kingaroy and Gympie from 25 to 29 November, facilitating free legal advice clinics and workshops for community service providers. For information, email rrr@wlsq.org.au
