Spranklin McCartney law clerk Claire Wilson can easily recall her most memorable moment from the Supreme Court of Queensland admission sitting last week.
Her admission was moved by Senior Associate Christopher Lee in front of Chief Justice Bowskill, Justice Flanagan and Justice Brown in Brisbane’s Banco Court on 11 December.

“I have had one part of the ceremony particularly stuck in my head. It was when Bowskill CJ said ‘Let Ms Wilson be admitted’ with a nod to my mover and I. I felt elated in this moment,” Claire said.
“Senior Associate Christopher Lee of Spranklin McCartney Lawyers moved my admission. He is my current mentor and has taught me invaluable insights into the legal profession as a whole, as well as the intricacies of Succession law in such a short amount of time. I am very grateful to him.
“I hope to continue learning as much as I can at my current firm and assist clients in a proactive and sensitive way to ensure the best outcomes possible.”
Claire has two degrees in both Law (with Honours) and Science.
“I chose a career in law because I have a strong interest in problem-solving and find fulfilment in helping others navigate challenging situations.”
Claire works directly with Christopher in the area of succession planning and deceased estates at the Camp Hill firm. A firm spokesperson said she was very enthusiastic and enjoying the work.
Christopher said: “Whilst it is always enjoyable to attend admissions ceremonies, this one was very memorable for me, having had the honour of moving Claire’s admission.
“I look forward to seeing the ongoing growth and development of her career from here.”
