Regional practitioners can hear from the Queensland Law Reform Commission (QLRC) about its review of particular criminal defences, at a series of information sessions next week.
In Toowoomba, a Legal Practitioners Forum will be held on Monday at the Queen Arms Chambers from 3pm to 5pm.
In Ipswich, a Legal Stakeholders Workshop will be held on Wednesday at the Council Administration Building in Ipswich Central, from 3.30pm to 5pm.
In Beenleigh, a Community and Domestic Violence Stakeholders session will be held on Thursday at Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre from 9.30am to noon, followed by a Legal Stakeholders Workshop there from 1pm to 2pm.
On the Gold Coast, a Legal Stakeholders Workshop will be held on Friday at the Southport Community Centre from 3pm to 5pm.
Numbers are limited for these events, with registration required via email to qlrc-criminaldefence@justice.qld.gov.au
Public information sessions will be held on the same day at each site.
The QLRC also welcomes written submissions which are due by 20 April 2025.
