Proctor special print edition coming

For the first time since 2020, Proctor will return to print with the publication of the Proctor Annual in October this year.

Almost 40 years after the first edition was printed in 1982, QLS made the decision to take Proctor online during the COVID-19 pandemic due to increasing production and distribution issues.

Since launching Proctor online in May 2020, the site has evolved into a thriving legal news hub, with the digital platform providing the flexibility to cover breaking news and urgent profession updates.

While the transition online was a success, feedback from the 2024 QLS Member Survey made it clear that many practitioners still held fond memories of the printed version and would like to see it return in some format.

In response to this demand, the concept of the Proctor Annual was developed. The new publication aims to showcase thought leadership within the Queensland profession, featuring a range of in-depth articles and interviews with leading legal luminaries.

The annual will be distributed to firms in late October, with a limited number of copies available to individuals on request.

Submissions open now

While we have commissioned specialist practitioners from a range of areas to write these feature articles, QLS members are welcome to submit articles for consideration.

The articles, up to 1500 words, can be emailed to Proctor@qls.com.au by 1 July.
