Toowoomba practitioners and members of judiciary stepped out in crisp, clear conditions to take part in the 2025 Queensland Legal Walk, raising more than $800 on Tuesday.
The Downs and South West Queensland Law Association (DSWQLA) joined the annual LawRight fundraising event, held on National Pro Bono Day.
DSWQLA members walked alongside retired Judge Horneman-Wren SC, sitting Judge Chowdhury and Acting Magistrate Ryan. The Rapid Relief Team supported the participants.
LawRight increases access to justice through strategic partnerships with pro bono lawyers.
The walk is both a fundraiser and an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the valuable pro bono work undertaken by the legal profession during Law Week.
DSWQLA would like to hit its fundraising target and donations can still be made. More than $130,000 has been raised across the state so far.
