Piper Alderman has announced 17 midyear promotions including Brisbane-based lawyers Lauren Abbott – promoted to Special Counsel – and Allyson Yule – promoted to Senior Associate from 1 July.
Lauren joined Piper Alderman in 2018 as a lawyer in the real estate team, and was promoted to Associate in 2019, then Senior Associate in 2021.

She practises across a broad range of national property-related matters with particular expertise in major capital transactions including acquisitions, developments and divestments involving commercial, industrial, retail and social infrastructure assets, and management of large-scale leasing.
Allyson Yule
Allyson joined Piper Alderman in January 2023, was promoted to Associate in January 2024 and will be promoted to Senior Associate.
Her work includes advising clients on business and asset acquisitions and disposals, capital raising, corporate governance and ASX listing rules compliance. Allyson also regularly provides advice on commercial contracts in the energy and resources sector.
Before joining Piper Alderman, Allyson worked as in-house counsel at Queensland’s largest alumina refinery where she gained intimate knowledge of board processes, the operations of a large-scale plant and the intricacies of joint ventures.
