James Cook University’s (JCU) Law Seminar Series is offering the chance to learn valuable skills to improve Restorative Justice proceedings.
Dr Judith Rafferty will present The Power of Conflict Coaching on Tuesday, July 29, when she will explore how conflict coaching helps people navigate and resolve conflicts effectively
The JCU Adjunct Senior Research Fellow will show how Restorative Justice convenors can use practical strategies to prepare parties for conferences, and how lawyers can obtain clearer instructions and prepare for mediation.
Judith is a “pracademic” with 15 years of experience in conflict resolution practice, training and research in Australia and abroad. A nationally accredited mediator, she holds a PhD, a Master of Conflict and Dispute Resolution, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Psychology.
The free seminar will be held online and at JCU Cairns, Nguma-bada campus, Smithfield, at 11am. The one-hour presentation is worth one CPD point.
