Leading legal women from across South West Queensland attended the latest Ladies in Law function, hosted by the Downs & South West Queensland Law Association in Toowoomba last week.
Association President Alysha Jacobsen said the opportunity offered women in the legal profession, working in remote areas, a chance to connect.
“It’s really great, as women that work across such a large area, we don’t often get the chance to connect with each other,” she said.
Psychologist and author Dr Rebecca Ray spoke to the group for the Downs and South West Queensland Law Association’s meet and greet on Friday 5 September 2025.
Ms Jacobson said that some of the main takeaways was to learn to “say no” and prioritise your wellbeing.
“Knowing when to stop, when you’ve got too much on. You can’t juggle everything,” she said.
