Queensland Law Society President-elect Peter Jolly thanked Senior Counsellors, Accredited Specialists, committee members and professional development presenters on the Sunshine Coast along with four 25-year practitioners at the recent Celebrate Recognise Socialise event.

The CRS function at Mooloolaba was held this month to not only recognise four 25-year pin recipients but to celebrate the profession and local legal community.

Peter said these events played “a vital role in fostering connection across the profession”.

“They remind us that beyond the day-to-day demands of legal practice, we are part of a broader community that values contribution, celebrates longevity, and supports one another through every stage of our careers,” he said to 40-strong audience.

“Whether you’re practising in a large firm, sole operator, and everything in-between, we know the pressures are real.

“But when we come together like this, we strengthen our bonds and help create a profession that truly values belonging.

“Tonight is about pausing and recognising you, our Sunshine Coast practitioners.

“Your various contributions across these diverse field assists QLS in providing support for our members throughout our state.

“Every contribution is very much appreciated and we are very pleased to have this opportunity to publicly thank and acknowledge the significant and selfless contribution that you all make.”

QLS Counsellor Samantha Bolton, Director at Pippa Colman & Associates, toasted the profession and her Sunshine Coast colleagues saying “may we continue to practise with purpose, lead with integrity, and never forget to celebrate one another along the way”.
