Thynne + Macartney has announced Fraser Bax has joined the firm as partner, from HopgoodGanim Lawyers.
The firm said Fraser will bring his expertise in complex financial disputes involving large asset pools, companies and trusts to head up its family law group.
Thynne + Macartney General Manager, Richard Knox, said of the appointment marks “a significant milestone for our private client offering.”
“Growth has been a key strategy for Thynne + Macartney in 2025 with Fraser marking the third partner to join the ranks this year,” he said.
Chairman of Partners, Alex Ramsey, described Fraser as a strong leader.
“We are continuously impressed by his legal acumen and cultural fit,” he said.
“We are confident our family law practice is in steady hands with Fraser at the helm.”
Fraser’s appointment follows a year of growth for the firm, complementing the addition of Agriculture partner Raquel Bond and Employment partner Emily Harvey, and the opening of a regional office in Toowoomba to support clients in the Western Downs and Maranoa regions.
