District Court Judges to present town hall

A Town Hall information session on the introduction of new District Court Practice for Circuit Centre and Regional Sexual Violence Case Management will be hosted by Judge Burnett and other judges of the District Court.

This information session on Wednesday, 11 March, will provide details of the new practices concerning management of Circuit Centre Sexual Violence Indictments and Regional Sexual Violence Case Management.

This meeting will provide:

• An overview of the Practice framework;
• Details of the regional managing judges and registries;
• The intake and listing processes that will apply under the new arrangements;
• Expectations surrounding interlocutory application management, including the use of AV links and referrals to Brisbane where appropriate.

The session will be held from 4.45pm to 5.45pm via Teams meeting.
