Suits will join scrubs for the first Queensland Law Orchestra concert of the year – a joint performance with the Queensland Medical Orchestra.
Queensland Law Orchestra or Lawchestra comprises law students, solicitors, barristers and other members of the legal profession from Brisbane.
Lawchestra will collaborate with the QMO on 19 April at 3pm at the Edmund Rice Performing Arts Centre. They previously performed together in April 2024.
The 2024 event had an audience of more than 700 with musicians from both professions combining to promote mental wellbeing.
Charity Orange Sky, which supports people experiencing homelessness or hardship, will also receive some proceeds from the concert.
Both orchestras will again perform individually and then combine forces to form one large orchestra.
For the combined pieces, they will perform works from John Williams’ Star Wars and Dvořák’s New World Symphony. The individual orchestras will be playing works ranging from Beethoven to Tchaikovsky.
Tickets are available now.
