Stephanie Smith has been promoted to Special Counsel, Bridget Donaldson and Julian Ladd to Senior Associate, and Victoria Lierse to Associate.
Ms Smith’s promotion to Special Counsel recognises her extensive experience, exceptional advocacy skills and leadership.
Starting her career in Rockhampton before relocating to Brisbane, she has developed expertise across a broad range of family law matters, including complex parenting disputes, financial settlements, de facto and same-sex relationship matters, child support, domestic violence matters, spousal maintenance and international parenting issues.
Known for her compassionate and client-centred approach, Ms Smith has a particular interest in complex parenting matters and is highly regarded for her ability to develop practical, strategic and tailored solutions that align with her clients’ long-term goals.
Ms Donaldson’s promotion recognises her dedication, capability and the meaningful impact she has made since joining the firm.
Practising exclusively in family law since her admission as a solicitor, Bridget has experience across all areas of family law, including property settlements, parenting matters, divorce applications and child support issues. She is known for her empathetic approach, practical advice and ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.
Mr Ladd’s promotion reflects his depth of experience, practical approach and unwavering commitment to supporting clients and families through difficult circumstances.
Since his admission in 2018, he has built an impressive career across a variety of legal environments, including appointments as Associate to Justice Mullins of the Supreme Court of Queensland and Legal Associate to Justice Forrest and Justice Hogan of the former Family Court of Australia. He also worked at Legal Aid Queensland’s Family Law team.
Ms Lierse is a dedicated and compassionate solicitor specialising in all areas of family law. She has particular expertise in advising on complex property settlement issues, relocation, domestic violence and parenting matters.
