One of the District Court’s newest judges will be special guest at the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland’s monthly breakfast in Brisbane in October.
Judge Dearne Firth was appointed to the Court in February after serving as a judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia since 2021.
Attendees will have the opportunity to talk to Judge Firth about her career, her transition to a new chapter on the bench, and her reflections on leadership and the legal profession.
The breakfast will be held on Thursday, 1 October 2026, at Gather Bistro in Ann St, at 7.30am. Attendance is free, with attendees to buy their own breakfast. Register here.
