Former Queensland Commissioner for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children and Young People Natalie Lewis will be among the speakers at Knowmore Legal Service’s national forum later this month.
Ms Lewis will join survivors, sector leaders, policy makers and Australian experts gathering at Beyond Redress: Supporting Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse, at Parliament House in Canberra and online on 29 October.
They will explore the legacy and ongoing relevance of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and its recommendations.
Other speakers will include former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Knowmore CEO Jackie Mead, former Commissioner Robert Fitzgerald, and Social Services Minister Tanya Plibersek.
