The Julian Wagner Memorial Fund and Australians Against Capital Punishment will ask a key question at a fundraiser next month.
The Death Penalty – Are We Winning will have the Honourable Lex Lasry KC present his views in Brisbane on Thursday, 19 November.
The former Principal Judge of the Supreme Court in Victoria is an experienced barrister and judge who has built a long career in criminal law since his admission in Victoria in 1973.
He has appeared in major criminal trials and appeals, and served as counsel in royal commissions, inquests, and high-profile cases.
The event will raise money for the fund to support Australian lawyers and law students to volunteer with capital defence lawyers overseas.
It will be held from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Wesley House, 140 Ann Street. Buy tickets here.
