SPG Lawyers (SPG) has recently welcomed Maria Stafurik and Jeffrey (Hao) Su to the partnership.
Maria Stafurik
Maria joined SPG in 2007 and immediately commenced working within the firm’s pharmacy legal work group. Since then she has provided legal services to the pharmaceutical industry and works for large Australian pharmacy groups. She is an honorary board member of a large national pharmacy retail group and regularly advises on governance, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution.
Maria is also a member of the Queensland Health Select Committee and advises State Government on amendments to the Pharmacy Business Ownership Act 2001. She also consulted the Australian Government Department of Health regarding the creation of an online portal for pharmacy approvals, sales and transfers which was successfully rolled out.
Jeffrey (Hao) Su
Jeffrey commenced working at SPG in 2014 and joined the firm’s commercial law group. He has gained extensive experience in the sale, purchase and assignment of management rights, business sales and purchases, rural property acquisitions and shopping centres acquisitions and leases. He has also advised private individuals, multi-national corporations and private equity funders regarding loans, mortgages and securities.
Jeffrey is fluent in Mandarin and English and has close connections to both the Gold Coast Chinese community and the Brisbane Chinese business community. He has opened a Brisbane visited office for SPG to provide greater access for the firm’s Brisbane-based clients, and will practice from both this office and the SPG Gold Coast office.
