Bradley & Bray Lawyers has announced the promotion of Bridie Edwards to Associate Director, making her the first female and youngest Director in the firm’s history.
Bridie’s appointment at the Sunshine Coast-based firm, which focuses on Business and Commercial Law, Real Estate and Property Law, and Succession and Estate Planning, was effective from 1 July.
Bridie started with the firm four years ago as a law student. In 2022, she completed a Masters Degree in Business Law and Transactions to enhance her legal knowledge and skills.
“I am honoured to be the youngest and first female Director in the firm’s 40-year history, but I am even more proud to follow in the footsteps of our retired Director Mark Bray who created and led an incredible firm and workplace over his career,” she said.
“The work he did, alongside our current Director Jacob Corbett, and leadership given to support our team enabled the top-quality service to our clients we provide today.
“I am very grateful for Mark, Jacob and our Partner Peter Griffin’s support and encouragement over my time with the firm, which has helped me get to where I am today.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank my family, friends, colleagues, and clients for all of their support and encouragement – it is greatly appreciated.”
Her leadership qualities were acknowledged when she became the youngest elected member on the Queensland Law Society (QLS) Council in 2021. She currently serves on several QLS committees including CPD, Governance, Professional Conduct, and Finance and Risk.
