There are many significant cultural events and anniversaries to celebrate and reflect on with First Nations peoples throughout the coming year.

In aid of that celebration, the Queensland Law Society is proud to announce publication of the Cultural Calendar 2024.

We encourage firms to become familiar with the Cultural Calendar which is available on our website and to get involved in upcoming events, which include:

  • National Reconciliation Week 2023 (May 27 – June 3) – Now More Than Ever. This year’s theme is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People must continue.

As QLS journeys towards its fourth year of the Cultural Outreach Strategy (COS), it takes pride in the progress to date and look forward to continuing our mission to effect positive change.

We welcome your say. If you are interested in learning more please email us at cos@qls.com.au

Queensland Law Society acknowledges and pays deep respects to the Ancestors and Elders of the lands here in Meanjin, the Turrbal and Jagera peoples and throughout Queensland.
