The Supreme Court Library Queensland is adopting a new fee structure for its legal research information service, and fees will increase from Monday, 1 July.
Full Queensland Law Society members will continue to be entitled to the free member services of 30 minutes free research and 10 documents delivered a day.
Where requests exceed the free daily limits (or urgent requests), fees will apply under the new structure.
All requests will be treated as a research request and, where in excess or the free daily limits, or requested on an urgent basis, will attract a time-based fee covering the research effort (minimum 15 minutes) with additional fees for each document supplied in response to the request.
The standard turnaround for a non-urgent request is within three business days.
New fees
- Research: Standard – $65 an hour (charged in 15-minute increments); Urgent – $90 an hour (charged in 15-minute increments)
- Documents supplied: Research fee plus $21.80 an item
- Fees for interlibrary loans will also increase in line with recommended industry fee increases.
