Caley Springall
Caley Springall has been promoted to solicitor on 17 February 2025 upon admission as a legal practitioner.
Caley started her career at IRiQ as a law graduate in February 2024, moving across from Optus. Caley has a dual degree in Business and Law, focusing on International Business and Human Resources.
Caley is also a decorated axe thrower, having taken out high honours at impressive axe throwing tournaments in Australia and abroad.
Zehua Zhang
Zehua Zhang has been promoted to solicitor on 18 February 2025 upon admission as a legal practitioner.
Zehua joined IRIQ Law as a law graduate in February 2024, with an impressive academic background and enthusiasm for the Law. Before graduating from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Laws in 2023, Zehua obtained a Bachelor of Accounting in 2018 and dual master’s degrees in international Commercial Law and Applied Finance from the University of Queensland in 2021.
Before joining IRiQ Law Zehua gained valuable experience as a law clerk, and some impressive skills as a blackjack dealer.
David Pawley
David Pawley has been appointed as Associate. David has a diverse background of more than four years of combined experience in legal and non-legal IR advocacy roles from which he has gained valuable experience in the IR and employment law space, particularly litigation in the Fair Work Commission. He joined IRiQ Law as an Associate on 28 January 2025 and has quickly become a valued member of the Team IRiQ, with a focus on litigation and dispute resolution while also embracing the challenge and learning curve in a broader range of IR matters.
Abbey Glacken
Abbey Glacken has been appointed as Associate. Abbey can across from Suncorp Insurance where she spent three years as an employee relations advisor, gaining valuable experience managing the interesting, varied and complex issues that arise in a large ASX listed corporation. Abbey joined IRiQ Law on 13 January 2025, fresh from an overseas holiday, and quickly settled into her role.
Joanna Minchinton
Joanna Minchinton was promoted to Head of Legal and Consulting on 17 March 2025 upon admission as a legal practitioner.
Joanna joined IRiQ Law as a Consultant on 19 August 2024 while she completed her PLT. She was promoted to Head of Consulting at IRiQ in November 2024, and has fast become a leader and mentor in Team IRiQ.
As an IR practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in industrial relations, a life member of the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland and Australian Labour and Employment Relations Association, Joanna was promoted to lead Team IRiQ in the role of Head of Legal and Consulting upon her admission as a legal practitioner.
