Commercial law firm Mahoneys has announced six promotions in its Brisbane office, effective from 1 July 2025.
James Morgan and Rhys Williamson have been elevated to Partner; Cath Champion, Rebecca Forsyth and Ben Sandford to Special Counsel; and Robert Carter to Senior Associate.
James Morgan
James is a QLS Accredited Specialist in commercial litigation. With more than 20 years’ experience, he has acted on a wide range of matters including building and construction disputes, commercial disputes, body corporate disputes, and personal and corporate insolvency.
Rhys Williamson
Rhys is an experienced lawyer who specialises in commercial, corporate and intellectual property law. He regularly acts for SMEs, large private businesses, research institutes, and technology companies with a specific focus on technology law.
Cath Champion
Cath is an experienced lawyer who specialises in estate planning and administration. She is a Full Member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and her clients include high-net-worth individuals and small-to-medium sized business owners.
Rebecca, Ben and Robert are all experienced commercial litigators.
Rebecca Forsyth
Rebecca specialises in commercial disputes, partnership disputes, and property disputes.
Ben Sandford
Ben specialises in commercial disputes, body corporate disputes, and planning disputes.
