Update to Working with Interpreters PD

The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia have made minor updates to the Working with Interpreters Practice Direction, published this week.

This includes additional information in Part 5 about a party’s eligibility for a court-funded interpreter.

Annexure A has been updated to include additional guidance from the Judicial Council on Diversity and Inclusion’s Recommended National Standards for Working with Interpreters in Courts and Tribunals to assess a party’s communication to inform that they may require an interpreter.
