Members reminded of council election

Queensland Law Society members are reminded that the council election will be held in September.

QLS is governed by an elected council who is elected for a two-year term. Elections are held biennially each September in every odd numbered year.

The Notice of the QLS Council Election will be issued on Monday, 8 September, when nominations will open. Full members have until 4pm on Wednesday, 17 September, to submit their nominations.

Voting is scheduled between Thursday, 25 September, and 4pm Monday, 13 October, with election results published from Tuesday,14 October.

All QLS full members as of 8 September are eligible to nominate and vote in the council election. Members are encouraged to ensure their correct details are up to date and to diarise these election milestone dates.
