Creevey Horrell merges with McGinness & Associates to expand criminal division

Toowoomba-based firm Creevey Horrell Lawyers has expanded its crime and misconduct division with the acquisition of Brisbane firm McGinness & Associates.

The move will see experienced criminal law practitioner Andrew McGinness join the firm as a consultant, with Daniel Creevey rejoining the firm as Associate and Paris Reeves as solicitor, both based in Brisbane.

McGinness is a respected practitioner and Accredited Criminal Law Specialist with more than 40 years’ experience in criminal law, having worked in the former Public Defenders Office and Legal Aid Queensland before working in private practice in Brisbane and Cairns, he established McGinness & Associates in 2009.

Creevey Horrell principal Dan Creevey said he was excited for the merger.

“Andrew has extensive experience representing clients charged with everything from traffic matters to murder. He is well-respected in the legal fraternity, and we look forward to gaining his wealth of knowledge,” he said.

The moves continues Creevey Horrell’s recent expansion that has last year saw the firm announce plans to open new offices in Roma, Chinchilla and a second office in Townsville.
