Magistrates Conduct Policy has now been published

The Magistrates Conduct Policy has now been published on the Queensland Courts website.

The purpose of the policy is to:

• Define clear standards of appropriate conduct by the Chief Magistrates and Magistrates towards all persons who are officers, departmental employees, contractors, or service providers of the courts;
• Provide a safe and secure method for an officer, departmental employee, contractor, or service provider to raise a concern or make a complaint about inappropriate conduct by a Magistrate; and
• Set out a broad framework within which such concerns or complaints will be addressed.
