The Queensland Legal Walk returns for its 19th year in 2026 with registrations now open for the 19 May event.
The walk, organised by LawRight, is part of Law Week and celebrates National Pro Bono Day.
The walks around the state welcome about 1150 walkers with more than 900 people in Brisbane, plus smaller walks in Cairns, Townsville, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, hosted by regional CLCs and District Law Associations.
Over the past two decades, the legal profession, judiciary, law students and the community legal sector have shown strong support to raise awareness and funds for improving access to justice.
The Brisbane event is a 5km walk starting and finishing outside the QEII Courts Building, via George Street, Parliament, the Goodwill Bridge, South Bank and Kurilpa Bridge.
In Brisbane, the Chief Justice and Attorney-General traditionally lead the walk.
