HopgoodGanim Lawyers has appointed Intellectual Property, Technology and Cyber Security (IPTC) lawyer Michael Fredericks as a consultant in Brisbane.
Mr Fredericks joined on September 28, offering a combination of legal expertise and first-hand experience founding, advising and operating technology businesses throughout Australia.
He has advised a wide range of technology companies, entrepreneurs, investors and emerging businesses on M&A transactions, capital raisings, strategic growth initiatives, technology transactions and intellectual property matters.
HopgoodGanim Lawyers Managing Partner Luke Mountford said Mr Fredericks added a valuable perspective to the firm’s technology offering.
“His appointment brings a unique combination of legal expertise, commercial experience and entrepreneurial insight that will be of significant value to our clients and our IPTC practice,” Mr Mountford said.
“Michael’s experience as a founder and executive means he understands the challenges of building, funding, scaling and operating technology businesses.
“Our clients are increasingly looking for advisers who understand not only the legal issues, but also the commercial considerations that shape business decisions. Michael’s background enables him to bring both perspectives together for the benefit of our clients.”
