More than 300 members of the legal profession came together to raise $137,703 for LifeFlight at the sixth annual Law & Wine for LifeFlight Dinner.

Hosted by compensation law firm Travis Schultz & Partners (TSP) at the W Hotel in Brisbane, the sold-out event offered an evening of networking, philanthropy and shared commitment to support LifeFlight’s life-saving work.

Managing Principal at TSP and a member of the LifeFlight Foundation Board, Travis Schultz OAM, said the event continued to demonstrate the profession’s strong commitment to giving back to the community.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see so many members of the legal profession come together in support of such a worthy cause,” Mr Schultz said.

“The generosity shown by our guests, sponsors and supporters each year is remarkable, and to have raised over $137,000 for LifeFlight this year is an outstanding result.

“LifeFlight plays an essential role in saving lives across Queensland, and we’re proud to help support that work through the Law & Wine Dinner.”

A highlight of the evening was a panel discussion hosted by sports broadcaster Pat Welsh featuring Hayden Kenny OAM, Grant Kenny OAM and Jett Kenny. Representing three generations of one of Australia’s most recognised surf lifesaving families, the Kennys shared insights on legacy, resilience, community leadership and sporting excellence.

The impact of LifeFlight’s critical work in the community was powerfully emphasised by Patient Ambassador Zach Nightingale, who shared his moving rescue story and experience with LifeFlight.

The event’s fundraising efforts were further supported through the generosity of sponsors, donors and attendees with an array of auction and raffle prizes.

LifeFlight’s Brisbane Community Engagement Lead Anna Caldwell said the organisation was grateful to TSP for the ongoing commitment over the past six years.

“With LifeFlight helping someone every 58 minutes, it’s more important than ever that we meet growing demand while maintaining the highest standards of care,” she said.

“Events like the Law & Wine Dinner help us invest in the future through the LifeFlight Training Academy being developed on the Gold Coast, which will provide high-quality aviation and emergency services training across Queensland, Australia and beyond.”
