About Mark Fenlon

After working in private practice for seven years, Mark Fenlon became a Senior Prosecutor for the Queensland Police Service, where he has been employed since 2010. Working with solicitors and police officers, Mark saw first hand the psychological impact of working in a high-volume legal environment where employees are regularly exposed to issues such as domestic violence, assaults, sexual offences and worse. As a result of that, he became an accredited peer support officer to assist in getting better outcomes for colleagues impacted by these issues. He is also a member of the Queensland Law Society Wellbeing Working Group. He has a special interest in promoting the interests of regional, rural and remote practitioners and is the QLS representative to the Law Council of Australia’s Regional, Rural and Remote Lawyers Committee. Mark is also a former President of the Townsville District Law Association.
