Chief Judge on final lap of honour

Queensland District Court Chief Judge Kerry O’Brien took a trip down memory lane last month by presiding over his final criminal trial in Townsville – the city where his judicial career kicked off 30 years earlier.

Judge O’Brien spent almost a decade living and presiding in the tropical north after his appointment to the bench in 1989. He is scheduled to retire after an illustrious career next month.
