CaseLaw update: Sentencing remarks collection

Your law library has released an update to its free CaseLaw service, making it easier to search, browse and access the expanded collection of publicly available sentencing remarks transcripts.

Earlier this year, the courts adopted the recommendations of a review into the publication of publicly available sentencing remarks transcripts.

All sentencing decisions of the Supreme and District Courts of Queensland will now be publicly available in our CaseLaw database (subject to certain exceptions) for a period of five years.

The increased volume of publicly available sentencing remarks has made it difficult for users to find and access sentencing remarks. In this CaseLaw release, we have deployed several upgrades to make it easier to search, browse and access this collection, including:

  • new medium neutral citation schemes for sentencing remarks transcripts
  • sentencing remarks collection advanced search capability
  • pagination of browse and search results lists.

See the Supreme Court Library Queensland website for details.
