Justin O’Callaghan named as Partner in Hamilton Locke construction team

Hamilton Locke has added Justin O’Callaghan to its national construction team as a Partner, based in its Brisbane office. 

Mr O’Callaghan advises on all aspects of the front end of projects, including the procurement and delivery of high-value and large-scale projects across the energy, infrastructure, resources and real estate sectors.

He acts for major project proponents including principals, sponsors, developers and contractors, and works with general counsel, senior legal teams and executives on the strategy for major capital projects. 

Mr O’Callaghan has been a trusted advisor on significant projects across Australia, including most recently the design and construction of a $500 million automated facility in Queensland, a $1.3 billion solar farm and BESS project in New South Wales that is listed on the Australian Government’s National Renewable Energy Priority List, and the delivery of a major fibre-optic network in Western Australia.

Other work highlights include advising on the Powering Sydney’s Future project to secure the city’s electricity supply, the Clarke Creek Wind Farm in central Queensland and the Howard Smith Wharves precinct in Brisbane.

Mr O’Callaghan was previously at K&L Gates. He re-joins former colleagues Betsy-Ann Howe, Matthew Cridland, Annalie Mitchelson, Samuel Brown and Lisa Ward, who joined the firm earlier this year.
