A-G issues guide to property and financial agreements and consent orders

The federal Attorney-General’s Department has issued a guidance document called ‘Property and Financial Agreements and Consent Orders – What You Need to Know.

The guide provides information to separating couples about the options for resolving their property arrangements, from an informal agreement through to filing consent orders with the court and litigating the matter in court.

For the first time there are free national property precedents for orders that can be used by lawyers and by self-represented litigants.
