Given the advice from Queensland Government for employees to work from home where practicable in order to lessen the current COVID-19 outbreak, Queensland Law Society recommends that law firms consider whether it is desirable to adopt work from home arrangements, given the work likely to be undertaken and the capability of IT systems.
At this time, we should all be focused on reducing the spread of the current virus in the community and as responsible solicitors accepting government recommendations to promote community wellbeing.
Working from home is encouraged where physical distancing cannot be maintained in the office.
