On 30 April 2022, new domestic and family violence reforms commenced in Queensland, replacing temporary measures put in place to respond to the COVID-19 emergency.
Court Services Queensland has advised that, pursuant to the new rules 9A and 9B of the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Rules 2014, a Principal Registrar (Magistrates Courts) approval has been released approving domestic and family violence documents that may be electronically filed in Magistrates Courts.
