Australia’s peak legal body is calling for nominations to find the nation’s best young legal talent.
The Law Council of Australia (LCA) is on the hunt for the country’s best young lawyer for 2022.
The awards are conducted annually by the LCA’s young lawyers’ committee and recognises excellence in young – or early career – lawyers and young lawyer organisations.
Nominations for the Australian Young Lawyer Awards 2022 will close at 5pm on 12 August, with the winners scheduled to be announced in October.
To be eligible for the award, nominees must either be a young lawyer (under 36 years) or an early career lawyer (admitted for a period of five years or less) who has made a continuous and outstanding contribution to the profession and the community.
Also eligible are young lawyer organisations which have implemented a program relating to professional or community issues over the preceding financial calendar year.
