National firm Holding Redlich has promoted 41 lawyers, including appointments in the Brisbane and Cairns offices, effective from 1 July.
Brisbane-based Katherine Hammond (Corporate and Commercial) is one of two new Partners and was previously Special Counsel.
Katherine has more than 12 years’ experience specialising in the areas of public and private mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets (IPOs and secondary raisings), corporate advisory, governance and risk management. Katherine is also a qualified and experienced ASX listed company secretary.
David Chambers (Workplace Relations and Safety)
David is experienced in employment and criminal law. He has acted for a variety of clients and stakeholders in various industries across federal and state jurisdictions. Before his admission, David performed duties as a police officer in two states.
Keisha Currie (Workplace Relations and Safety)
Keisha is a Special Counsel in the Workplace Relations and Safety group. Keisha’s practice involves advising on all aspects of workplace health and safety including duties, breaches, investigations, incident response, policy drafting, reviewing safety health management systems and managing risks. Keisha previously worked at the Department of Justice and Attorney-General for Crown Law.
Tarin Olsen (Construction, Infrastructure and Projects)
Tarin is a Special Counsel in the Construction, Infrastructure and Projects team, focusing on project delivery and the provision of commercial advice. Tarin has experience across several sectors including major commercial construction, civil works, road infrastructure projects, hospital and health infrastructure projects, school infrastructure projects and LNG projects.
Jeanne Vallade (Corporate and Commercial)
Jeanne is qualified to practise in both Australia and France. Jeanne has more than 15 years’ experience advising on complex transactional and regulatory matters including cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions; foreign investment in Australia, including investment approvals; corporate governance and regulatory compliance; privacy and data law; international succession and estate planning.
Guy Munasinghe (Property, Planning and Development)
Guy is a leasing lawyer with more than 11 years’ experience in commercial, industrial and retail leasing across multiple jurisdictions. A large part of Guy’s practice involves advice on national property portfolios, drafting client-specific precedent documentation and advising on all aspects of leasing.
Paul Thompson (Dispute Resolution and Litigation)
Paul has more than five years’ experience in taxation, disputes and litigation, primarily in matters involving the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). His experience in tax matters includes engaging with the ATO in respect of reviews and audits involving Division 7A, Part IVA general anti-avoidance provisions, capital gains tax, general income tax provisions and GST.
Roslyn Vickers (Property, Planning and Development)
Roslyn is an experienced property and projects lawyer, providing advice on a range of property transactions and projects including high value capital transactions, including hotels and resorts and commercial and retail properties; residential developments including off-the-plan projects and title structuring; renewable energy projects; approvals and variations of the Foreign Investment Review Board; transaction structuring including taxation implications; and general property advice.
Andrea Wilson (Construction, Infrastructure and Projects)
Andrea is a Senior Associate with experience providing advice to clients on a range of matters across the building and construction, engineering, civil works, energy, and development industries. Andrea has experience in providing advice over the entire lifecycle of a project and regularly acts on behalf of principals, superintendents and contractors at all levels.
Sangeetha Badya (Property, Planning and Development – Cairns)
Sangeetha is a Senior Associate in the Planning and Environment team. She was previously an Associate to her Honour Judge Fantin of the District Court, Children’s Court and Planning and Environment Court.
Kayla Greenwood (Property, Planning and Development – Cairns)
Kayla practices in the commercial property area and specialises in all forms of retail, commercial and industrial leasing. As well as acting for landlords and tenants, Kayla also assists clients with undertaking pre-acquisition due diligence.
