Sparke Helmore has announced five new partners, welcomed seven lateral partners, and added 32 to Special Counsel and Senior Associate ranks including four Brisbane practitioners.
The national firm announced 17 promotions to Special Counsel including Brisbane-based Katie Gould (Property), Matthew Armstrong (Property), Sasha Vleeshouwer (Property) and Ben Keenan (Workplace).
Katie Gould
Katie has more than 15 years’ experience in property. She acts on a broad range of matters, including hotel sales and purchases, property development, leasing and acquisitions and disposals. Katie joined forces with Sparkes in September 2019.
Matthew Armstrong
Matthew is a property lawyer who specialises in property development as well as acquisitions and disposals. Matthew was recognised by the Doyle’s Guide as one of 17 Australian Property & Real Estate Rising Star Lawyers of 2020.
Sasha Vleeshouwer
Sasha is a property lawyer who specialises in acquisitions and disposals, leasing matters and rural transactions. She has experience in rural transactions, including acquisitions and disposals of rural land, water rights dealings and rural leases. Sasha is involved in Sparke Helmore’s Pro Bono Program, including the Salvation Army Wills program and assisting non-profits on a range of matters, including the negotiation of a lease and the acquisition of rainforest land for conservation.
Ben Keenan
Ben has been advising and acting for clients in both the public and private sectors and across a range of different industries on all aspects of employment, industrial relations and work health and safety law for more than 11 years.
