Career Moves: Murphy’s Law

Murphy’s Law Accident Lawyers enters the new year with a strengthened team of 15 new hires and six staff promotions.

The new recruits bolster a variety of departments including management, Special Counsel, legal practice and paralegal.

Michelle Tomley

In a significant addition to the firm’s team, Special Counsel Michelle Tomley made the move from her role as Queensland Practice Leader (Head Trauma) at Shine Lawyers. Michelle brings more than 23 years’ experience from both sides of the fence in accident law and insurance litigation, having previously acted on behalf of insurers.

Jed McNamara

She was joined by Jed McNamara, another experienced Special Counsel with more than 30 years’ expertise in personal injury litigation. Jed is trained in trauma-informed practice, helping him navigate his clients through the technical, legal, and emotional complexities of their claims. Jed’s Sunshine Coast location will help solidify a larger geographic footprint.

Laura Dennis

Solicitor Laura Dennis was also welcomed back, rejoining Murphy’s Law Accident Lawyers after a short hiatus. With seven years’ accident law experience under her belt, Laura is also a successful competitive triathlete, having held sixth position in the world. Her eyes are now locked on competing at the Kona Hawaii Ironman World Championships later this year.

Murphy’s Law also expanded its talented team of support staff with new paralegals Meka Morgan, Heather Gnanaseelan, Heather Millar and Bella Josephson.

With an eye to the future, the firm also bolstered its junior team with Mia Harrison, Alex MacDonell, Callie McManus and Ben Jesser joining as law clerks.
