The “Big Questions” about lawyering were answered over a buffet breakfast in Toowoomba earlier this month.
Downs and South West Queensland Law Association (DSWQLA) gathered a Q&A panel of local practitioners for an Early Career Lawyers Winter Warmer Brunch, at Burke & Wills Hotel, on 15 August.
Clifford Gouldson IP and technology lawyer Melanie Sharpe, Contested Will and Estate Lawyers founding director Rebecca O’Toole, TAFE Queensland Student and Child Safety Principal Advisor Katrina Potter, and Advanced Accredited Mediator Gerardine Kelly, fielded a range of queries from the audience of 30 lawyers and law students.
The brunch has been a staple on the DSWQLA calendar for several years, but this was the first time it had included a Q&A panel.
Panel chair Sarah Toomer said all attendees would be better lawyers after hearing insights from the panellists.
