One of Brisbane’s Federal Court judges will be keynote speaker at the annual Gold Coast Legal Conference next week.
Justice Darryl Rangiah will discuss the vast jurisdiction of the court when he addresses practitioners at the one-day event at RACV Royal Pines Resort at Benowa next Friday.

His Honour will explain practice and procedure in the court, including the advantages offered for regional practitioners through innovations such as electronic filing, digital hearings and live streaming of proceedings.
Before his Federal Court appointment, Justice Rangiah practised at the Queensland Bar, taking silk in 2008. His Honour was also chair of the Queensland Fisheries Tribunal for nine years and a member of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Tribunal for five years.
He will top an impressive list of presenters from the judiciary, private bar and local practices, who will cover practice issues, challenges and latest developments across three plenary sessions and two session tracks.
