The Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal’s role in child protection will be examined in a free webinar this month.

The session will highlight how QCAT employs mediation skills to uphold the safety, welfare and best interests of children, while striving to achieve negotiated agreements that enable parties to continue working together.
Julie has been a tribunal member for 20 years, including serving as President of the Children Services Tribunal before it merged into QCAT in 2009.
A nationally accredited mediator, she spent several years in North Queensland, where she managed an accommodation service for homeless young people and ran a social advocacy service for people with disabilities.
