Moray & Agnew has appointed Edmund Burke as partner in its Brisbane office.
The firm announced that Edmund will be leading the Queensland workplace practice, noting that he brings “extensive experience in all areas of employment law and work health and safety” as well as “a proven track record in defending complex prosecutions”.
They credited his work in leading “due diligence and employment transfers under the Fair Work Act for both Australian and international businesses”.
Edmund said he was thrilled to assume the new role.
“I’m also looking forward to being part of the firm’s strong national workplace team and the services they provide to our clients,” he said.
Brisbane Managing Partner Michael Garbett said Edmund’s “depth of experience and client focused approach make him a valuable addition to the firm”.
“We’re excited to welcome him and confident he will make a significant impact,” he said.
